SOLACE IN THE SOIL • Homeless adults who are learning agricultural, floral-design and retail skills by working at the Homeless Garden Project, Santa Cruz: support for its trainee program, tools and supplies. MEAL WITH FRIENDS • Gifts paid for a Christmas Day celebration and hot, sit-down meal for more than 600 low-income seniors at the St. James Senior Center in downtown San Jose. GROWING CONFIDENCE • Donations will allow the Community Association for Rehabilitation in Palo Alto to build an irrigation system and access paths and purchase tools and supplies for the garden used by its clients with developmental disabilities.
