Drive

  • Friday section dedicated to automotive news and features
  • Appeals to car buyers and owners
  • Outstanding vehicle for new and used cars, auto parts and services

People in Silicon Valley spend a lot of time in their cars. They also spend a lot of time (not to mention money) choosing, buying and maintaining their cars. That's why so many of them read Drive every Friday in the Mercury News.

STANDARD EQUIPMENT
Drive contains the Bay Area's only editorial automotive section. It appeals to a broad audience, from the sports car fanatic to the commuter seeking no-frills transportation. Regular features include:

  • Auto-related news, from car shows to industry trends
  • Matt Nauman's test drives of the newest models, from subcompacts to SUVs
  • Repair and maintenance advice from Tom & Ray Magliozzi (Click & Clack Car Talk) and Brad Bergholdt (Under The Hood)
  • Drive Q&A, brief chats with major figures in the automotive world

Also note that Drive introduces Friday's automotive classifieds, which begin in the same section.
