promoting your products and services. Zip code
selected delivery let's you target only your
best prospects. Preprint distribution to Mercury
News subscribers is available at theZIP code
or Zip CLUSTER level on Tuesdays, Thursdays,
Fridays and Sundays. Subscriber preprints are
charged on a cost-per-thousand basis and are
billed at estimate net paid.
Required distribution quantities are available
from your advertising representative 90 days
prior to distribution date. 10,000 minimum
preprint quantity. Distribution to non-subscriber
households is also available at the sub-ZIP
code level on Mondays. Preprints are delivered to non-subscribers
via the U.S. Postal
Service in a shared mail package

GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Tabloid pages
are 85 column inches or less.
2. Standard pages are larger than 85 column
inches and not more than 129 column inches.
3. For subscriber preprints exceeding 56 standard
pages or 112 tabloid pages and non-subscriber
preprints exceeding 26 standard pages or 52
tabloid pages, add $3.00 to the cost per thousand
for each two standard pages or four tabloid
pages.
4. A sample preprint is needed before acceptance
can be confirmed.
5. Any preprint that varies from the original
order will be charged for any additional costs incurred
plus a 25% premium.
6. Tabloid preprints not in increments of 4
pages will be charged at the next 4-page increment.
7. Inserts appearing on the following holidays
will be charged a 10% premium: New Year's Day,
President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence
Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day,
and Christmas Day.
